SFPA Electro-Hydraulic Actuator
The SFPA electro-hydraulic system utilizes the Bettis hydraulic actuator powered by an SFPA power unit and controls. Efficient heavy-duty modular designed motor and pump convert electric power to hydraulic power. Self-contained in a highly efficient package with controls, provide the benefits of electric actuators, but with advantages for fail-safe action, modulation and high torques (from 3,000 - 6,000,000 lb. In. depending on models).

The standard ¼ turn electro-hydraulic uses the Bettis E Series actuator in either double acting or spring return. The Bettis G Series - RoboArm II and HD Series ¼ turn actuators as well as Bettis linear models also available for electro-hydraulic operation. Motor and solenoid control are available in 110/220VAC (60/50Hz 1/2/3 phase, or 24VDC) All weather and UL/CSA Explosion Proof, NEMA 4 options. Electric junction provides a single connecting point with NEMA 4 or 7 enclosure options. Station panels are also available with push-button local control and reset for ESD or fail-safe applications. Modular field serviceable motor & pumps.

Fail-Safe operation is available in the event of power loss* with spring return models using a mono-stable control valve. Options include bi-stable control valve with DC battery-backup allowing fail-safe operation independent of a power loss*. This eliminates the need for large UPS (batteries). Manual hydraulic pump is standard on all models. (AC or DC Operating Electrical Power)*

The SFPA electro-hydraulic actuator when fitted with the PMV-F5 feedback unit is ideal for modulating or throttling applications. The control of hydraulic fluid offers infinite stiffness and stability for fast response
and positioning accuracy. F5 feedback unit provides options for 4-20mA (potentiometer) or standard SPDT switch pack (mechanical or proximity), and are Intrinsically safe or Explosion proof option (UL CSA & FM).
